First Communion - Joyful

Today I went to a First Communion Mass for my friend's daughter at a different parish. The children were beautiful and innocent. The parents were proud and beaming, and we all dressed in our Sunday Best. I remember my friend being single, getting engaged, planning her bridal shower, being at her wedding, planning the baby shower, the first child's baptism, and now the First Communion.

How could you not love little boys in their little blue suits??? How could you not love little girls in their white dresses and veils????

The music was beautiful!

"Shout to the Lord" was a beautiful love song.

I cried several times during the Mass.

It wasn't even my kid making her First Communion. 

I also went to the celebratory brunch with the family and other friends at a local restaurant. Hugs and kisses and joy on this beautiful day with flowers, good food and music just made me very happy.
