Tense and Stressed
I'm tensed and stressed and finding it difficult to pray. I'm just telling God that I'm having trouble praying. I feel like a little lamb, "bleat, bleat, bleat." I trust God will more than meet me half-way. He has gotten me this far in life, and He has rescued me before. Sometimes I just have to trust.

And the best part is that He is completely trustworthy.
When I'm having trouble hearing God, I remind myself that Blessed Mother Teresa went years without hearing God's voice. I was stunned the first time I read about it, but it has given me so much hope over the years.
That's hard. :-( But think of it as a blessing, if you can. God let the saints go through periods of dryness and depression because He trusted them that they could handle it. In other words, they were holy enough to handle more purification. When I think of it that way, it gives me courage to go on and consolation that God is working in my soul, even when it doesn't seem like it.
