First the Church does not condone homosexual BEHAVIOR.
How old are these boy scouts who are being kicked out?
The priest wrote,
"For a young boy to (have to) share a tent or be exposed to other boys who are openly homosexual is not only unjust, but immoral," [Fr.] Grady wrote. "As a former Boy Scout, I know how uncomfortable it would have been to have to be in close proximity with boys that would perhaps be looking at me as more than just a friend."
Maybe no one would have thought the young Grady was attractive.
There are lots of reasons to be uncomfortable sharing a tent with another person. Like what if that person is NOT gay but snores? What if your tent mate is super cool and you're not? What if you the super cool scout and your tent mate is a dork?
There's something a little off about this priest, his comments and actions that I can't put my finger on. He seems a bit uncomfortable with himself. Maybe it's because he inserted his, dare I say, homophobic feelings? Now this is reported in the secular press, so what else did Father Grady say about this?
I'm pretty sure I attended Mass at this church and blogged about it.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Does the priest kick out couples who are living together without the benefit of marriage??
Do we kick out all those with sinful behavior? Or do we challenge them and welcome the sinners anyway or else the church would be empty.
