Sin due to Disenchantment

Numerology is a sin, isn't it?

Late Sunday night or Monday morning I was disenchanted with personal aspects of my life and found myself on a numerology website and got my free reading. Of course it said wonderful things about me and my future. Now I got an email that for $40 I could get a more comprehensive report because my "chart is on fire" and I could experience wonderful changes and improvements before "the window of opportunity closes."

So I am tempted.

I know better. It's a sales pitch. Is this a good use of $40?

I am so tempted.

Your thoughts? Comments?

No, not a good use of $40. God knows the future and will reveal it in time. The other stuff is New Agey/can be occultish. So be careful and stay away.

I do wish I could know how things will turn out sometimes though...

Hey Lena

Since you're asking, I would be very careful about numerology (or anything in the "supernatural" that isn't approved by the Church.) To open your heart to this sort of thing is opening your heart to the temptations of the devils. He preys on people's emotions, such as loneliness. (And those who do his work also do!)

I know you're lonely, or I'm guessing that this is what has led you to be tempted by this, but remember that the devil preys on our weaknesses. The more we allow ourselves to be exposed to these sort of practices, the more the devil will tempt you, and you will never find satisfaction but a continual yearning to be satisfied by more "predictions".

I'm sorry that there are people like this out there that take advantage. It's so wrong. In the meantime, I would suggest to take comfort in your friends. And to keep the faith of your life and future with God. You are a good person with a great heart!

Hmmm, sounds too good to be true. I'd save the money and treat yourself instead.
